Background

Prior to attending Stanford University I worked as an educational media producer. My company, EduVideo Productions, produces cross-curricular videos for grades K-12. EduVideo Productions is also a content provider for Discovery Education’s video-on-demand sites, unitedstreaming.com and cosmeo.com.

Coursework

The LDT Master’s program coursework is multidisciplinary. The program focuses on the integration of technology into various classroom and work settings. Education courses provide theoretical frameworks for approaches to designing curriculum and new media. Computer science and design courses emphasize design thinking, prototyping, usability, and heuristic evaluation in developing educational technologies.

Dynamic Storyboard

My Master’s Project, Dynamic Storyboard, is a technological application that allows students to construct and present information. Students use Dynamic Storyboard to build a narrative or support an argument with evidence from still images and video clips. The software prototype is designed to reinforce writing and research skills while encouraging flexibility and problem solving. Dynamic Storyboard also serves as an assessment tool for teachers.
